We're Amber and Megan
Two friends, gift-lovers and accidental entrepreneurs who started after one too many overpriced hampers left us uninspired.
It all began in a backyard, as we compared notes on the last time we tried to send a gift. Turns out, we were both doing the same thing: heading to the local shop or chemist, hand-picking a few thoughtful bits, stuffing them in a box with tissue paper and a cheeky card, and making a post office run. Effort: high. Cost: higher. And let’s be honest, it still didn’t feel quite right.
We weren’t after cheap. We were after gifts that actually felt good. That were personal. That made people smile. But everything online felt either bland and boring or way too expensive for what you got.
For Megan, that feeling hit even harder during cancer treatment. While she was incredibly grateful for the kindness behind every bunch of flowers and gift hamper, she couldn’t help but think, if someone was going to spend the time and money, she just wanted something small but considered, that didn’t cost the earth and simply put a smile on her face. (And preferably didn’t wilt or end up collecting dust.)
So we got to work.
With Amber’s background in interior design, real estate and events, and Megan’s two decades in marketing and branding, we built GettaGift. A luxe, letterbox-friendly gifting service that delivers curated, quality gifts from across Australia, without the hefty price tag.
Every product in our boxes has been sourced, tested and loved. Nothing makes the cut unless we’d use it or gift it ourselves. Each box is packed with personality, designed to spark joy (and maybe a giggle), and carefully wrapped in good taste and even better vibes.
